The mission to conquer the dragon backbone of Melawati was sucessfully done on Saturday, April 9, 2011 ... Along with 2 others "4steps" members ... Ajim & Iza.Bkt.Tabur located di antara Taman Melawati & Klang Gate ...

We decided to start the climbing a little bit late then usual ... Oleh kerana kami masih belum tahu bagaimana trek yang harus kami tempuhi (except for the pics & info from internet) di Bkt. Tabur so better for us to play safe ... Kami memilih untuk mendaki setelah matahari sedia memancar so we can see the trek ... tapi tak la lewat sangat ... Around 7.30 a.m we already start our climb ...

Both me & iza are from Bangi while Ajim, Shah Alam ... So kiteorang meet up kat Petronas Ampang before ke Bukit Tabur ... Dari pembacaan di internet, ada 2 trek mendaki Bkt.Tabur ... But as ini adalah our 1st time dealing with Bkt.Tabur .. So kami pilih untuk mendaki di trek yang mudah iaitu dari Puncak Niaga ... Luckily as kami sampai di starting point kami jumpe Kak Lin yang mana claimed to live nearby and had several time naik ke Bkt.Tabur ... And she confirmed that we headed right way.

Bersama kami ada lagi 4 orang climber yang start mendaki bersama, which is Kak Lin & her friend, and sepasang suami isteri also from nearby neighborhood ... So we start our step confidently ... Apa ada hal ... Trek dah betul ... And we got our back support by senior climber ... But later then we split out ...

Disebabkan aku ni tak suka nak menunggu, kalau boleh pijak je tanah terus nak sampai puncak hahaha (better not to call hiking then haha) ... So decide to split out ... As Kak Lin also ask for us not to wait for them .. takpe, depa expertise dah biasa naik turun .. Kami ni ha yang 1st timer ... So carry on with the mission la ...

Early half an hour, the trek was not difficult at all ... either way, the route was clear .. just ikut je jalan yang ada & a minor climb ... But, pastikan always look for hikers marks, make sure route korang betul sebab sometimes akan ada 2 route untuk korang pilih... The trek will be up & down ...

Kami berhenti at 1st stop to snap a picture ... tapi still it's halfway to puncak .... As the floor surface changed rocky the thrill begin ... For us actually, trek berbatu ni la yang menambahkan lagi thrill di Bukit Tabur, kombinasi hiking & climbing ... Kecuraman trek batu ni meningkat selaras dengan ketinggian.

Bukit Tabur offer 5 limestone summit dengan kecuraman 90 darjah untuk ditawan ... Yupp 90 degrees ... Thankful sebab Bkt.Tabur antara hiker's hills di Selangor so ada pihak yang merasakan bertanggungjawab memudahkan misi hikers menawan Bkt.Tabur dengan membantu menyediakan kemudahan pendakian seperti tali & papan tanda peringatan ... Credits for them ...

Kami sampai ke puncak pertama Bkt Tabur around 9 am ... But still got 4 to go on ... And along with us that day what other group of chinese hikers around 10 - 15 pupils ... so keadaan kat peak agak sesak ... Kami terpaksa menunggu giliran untuk memanjat ...

Entirely it take us 2 & half hours to conquer the whole Bkt.Tabur ... Ok la for the 1st hike there ....

dan kami betul-betul enjoy the trek offered terutamanya part nak conquer the peaks ... Againts the

limestone was fun & thrill, turun naik 90 degrees batu kapur, awesome!! ... Puas bila dapat sampai ke

last peak ... So until next time trip guys

4Step Backpackers

A post just to shared my interest nowadays ..

What is it?
It always been a dream of mine since i was a kid to step my self all over the globe . Yupp ... there was always a picture of my self as a traveler in my head ...
Furthermore, aku seakan tertarik bile melihat mat saleh carry on their back pack, traveling & kehulu kehilir dengan peta ditangan exploring the place they were ... They don't seems as a tourists to me n they were not ... there was some thing, sesuatu yang attract me with their act ...

As i grown up ... the ide of getting my foot stepping on others land are still on ... Then that was a time i encountered with a phrases "backpacking"... Aku explore budaya backpacking through internet .. And there was the answer for the Q that hold in me for such a time ... Yess ... Mat Saleh tu bukan nya Tourist but then a "Backpackers" ...

Backpacking is more to travel then a tour ... simple said mengembara dan bukannya melancong ... And kalau korang bertanya apa bezanya ... then the math issues will stumble upon ... yupp ...
Untuk orang cam aku yang fulus nya tak setebal poket Bill Gate tapi angan setinggi bulan untuk pusing satu dunia .. so backpacking is the answer ... backpacking are about budget travel ... Well untuk aku terangkan apa itu backpacking itu takes a long note ... but now,

4Step Backpackers, & what it had to offers?
4step are facebook group created by me and my friends ... Actually it just came upon borak kosong aku ngn one of my friends ... Actually aku berkongsi dengan kawan aku tu tentang minat & plan aku untuk start backpacking ... But then, dia had a zero ide about backpacking ... So aku terangkan pada dia apa itu 'backpacking" & what its all about ...

Somehow, he show an interest ... but, aku takdela nak amek port sangat dengan kata-kata dia because i thought it only will be temporary ... until this one day ... Dia add aku to this group backpackers kat Fb which happen to be created by him hahaha ... Itu die ide aku telah dikormesialkan dengan jayanya oleh beliau ...

So far ... aku nya backpacking to bandar2 and negara2 masih belom mampu dijalankan diatas kekangan masa dan kewangan ... so as alternatif aku taknak group ni just gah atas nama so aku jalankan beberapa aktiviti yang menjadi minat aku such as hiking, mountaineering, camping and banyak lagi la ekstrem sport yg kiteorang jalankan insyallah ... And the group is not all about me .. If said ada memember yang nak berkongsi aktiviti dieorang ... dipersilakan dengan berbesar hati ...
